There are three types of members.
Members are individuals or entities who are part of the F# language community and who have decided to declare their support for F# Software Foundation.
- Members must agree to the community Code of Conduct.
- Members are listed in the F# Software Foundation member roster
- Members will not have the right to vote on member-managed governance issues. However, Members may occasionally be invited by the Board of Trustees to vote on FSSF issues requiring board input from the community to the FSSF, such as the recent logo design.
Sustaining Members are individuals who choose to directly take part in the governance of the F# Software Foundation. In addition to the rights and responsibilities of Members:
- Sustaining Members pay dues to the F# Software Foundation. This money will go to support the FSSF and the F# community.
- Sustaining Members have the right to vote on member-managed governance issues of the foundation, such as the annual elections of the Board of Trustees
- Sustaining Members will be entitled to participate in internal mailing lists for discussion of F# Software Foundation governance.
Sponsor Members are entities, such as corporations, who choose to financially sponsor the F# Software Foundation. Sponsor Members can sponsor at one of four levels, including Bronze, Silver, Gold, or Platinum Sponsors. For more information about the individual sponsor levels or Sponsor Members, please see the Sponsor Membership page.
