2015 Board of Trustees Elections: Vote Now!
The campaign to elect a new Board of Trustees for the F# Software Foundation has been underway for a couple of weeks now. The 16 candidates have made their statements, and responded to questions from the Community on their personal campaign pages, which you can review here: http://foundation.fsharp.org/2015_board_of_trustees_campaign

The 2015 Board of Trustees election is underway!
Over the last month, the voting members have submitted many nominations for new Board of Trustee members, and sixteen people have agreed to participate in the 2015 election.

Election for the new Board of Trustees
The current Board of Trustees was hand selected to guide the initial formation of the F# Software Foundation (FSSF). The role of the Board of Trustees is to oversee the vision and mission of the F# Software Foundation, to set the goals, and to appoint officers to run the daily operations as appropriate.
One of the goals of the initial Board has always been to hold early general elections for the Board of Trustees in order to have a Board which formally represents the voting membership.
The Bylaws of the F# Software Foundation state that the first annual meeting of members, which will include the election of the new Board of Trustees, must happen prior to 29th November, 2015 (13 months from formation). The current Board has elected to hold the elections and annual member meeting earlier, with the initial goal being to hold the meeting and elections at the end of April.
In order to achieve this deadline, we have now opened nominations for new Board of Trustees members.
Nominations for a position on the Board of Trustees can be made by any Sustaining Member or Sponsor Delegate.
