Every year, the F# Software Foundation holds an election, where the voting Members first nominate candidates, and then vote to decide on the 9 people who will represent them and the Community on the Board of Trustees. Results are normally announced at the Annual Meeting of the Members, which begins the transition to the new Board.
The 2017 Annual Meeting of the Members of the F# Software Foundation will be held on Tuesday, May 30th at 17:00 GMT. All members of the F# Software Foundation are invited and encouraged to attend.
We just completed the nominations, and, as it turns out, we received exactly as many nominations as there are open seats. In that frame, it doesn't make sense to go through a formal election, because the Members have already spoken. So... congratulations to the new Board of Trustees!
Without further ado, the new Board of Trustees, in alphabetical order, are:
- Alena Hall
- Chet Husk
- Edgar Sanchez
- Gien Verschatse
- Kit Eason
- Mathias Brandewinder
- Scott Wlaschin
- Victor Peter Rouven Müller
- Yukitoshi Suzuki
I look forward to working with all of you to make this a great year for the Foundation, and to grow F# and its Community worldwide.
We will of course still hold an annual meeting of the Members. This meeting is an opportunity to take stock of what has been done last year, as well as where we are headed, as well as a chance for you, the Members, to voice your questions, concerns, and what you'd like us to do. The meeting is open to all Members. We look forward to seeing you there!
The Annual Meeting of the Members will be held at:
114 W Magnolia St, 4th Floor Conference Room
Bellingham, WA 98225 USA
All proceedings will be simultaneously held online on a custom channel of the F# Software Foundation Slack Team. Invites to the Slack team and channel will be sent to all members via their email on record prior to the meeting. All Members of the F# Software Foundation are invited to attend. Please RSVP if you plan to attend in person.
The agenda will include a review of the F# Software Foundation in 2016 and early 2017, as well as welcoming the 2017 Board of Trustees. Issues raised by Voting Members will also be discussed.
Thank you,
Reed Copsey, Jr.
Executive Director - F# Software Foundation
