The F# Software Foundation is proud to announce the official launch of its F# Speakers Program. Our goal with this initiative is to support the growth of the F# Community worldwide, by helping local communities find speakers willing to present F# content, and by giving more visibility to new speakers everywhere.
Any member of the F# Software Foundation willing to present F# content can request to be added to the list of speakers. Local groups looking for speakers can contact us and we will help make the connections. Alternatively, groups may simply reach out in our Slack #speakers channel, which is open to all of our members.
For our launch, we already have nearly 30 speakers listed in the program, spanning 14 countries on every continent except Antarctica. We would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to them, on behalf of the Community - and we hope that many more will join.
As part of this program, we are also offering some financial assistance for speakers who need to travel to give a presentation. It takes a lot of time and effort to prepare and give presentations, and we want to encourage speakers and help in any way we can, even if only modestly.
We intend to improve this program over time, based on feedback, and welcome your suggestions on how to make it better. As a 501(c)(3) non-profit in the United States, the F# Software Foundation is launching initiatives to further its mission, particularly through our working groups. If you want to get involved, we would love to hear from you!
